Elina Turunen was born in 1987 in Finland, in the middle of a freezing winter. No wonder she doesn't particularly like cold.

She roams around the Southern Finland and has graduated from an upper secondary school in 2006 where she learned how to say, "you have polyps in your nose" in German, but also picked up a lot about art and languages, and got an interest for the society, politics and law.

She has a habit of consuming a lot of coffee - and can order it it a cafe in five different languages. She likes narrow tipped shoes and big earrings. She enjoys films, PC games and books

that have something to do with adventure, gentleman thieves, geniuses, and witty humor. In music she prefers punk rock, alternative rock, jazz, original sounding female artists, and generally good humoured songs that make you smile.

In art she adores for example European 19th century ads, l'art nouveau, vector and vexel art, and so called graphic novels aka comics. She has developed a growing interest in modern interior design. Inspiration she draws from urban culture, science fiction, myths, comics and music.

She has been very active in her Arts studies in school, and has made illustrations for the school ball, designed the senior student logo of her year, organized and painted most of the truck posters in the Penkkarit of her school, made fashion illustrations for a magazine, and more. She has been handpainting prints on fabrics, like t-shirts, for years and has made a lot of shirt commissions. She draws an occasionally updating web comic, Red C, but for more info on these projects, see the Projects page.

She would be more than happy to get feedback of all kind, why not also requests, commissions and jobs. Feel free to e-mail:
